Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
Science-Grounded Care with Soul-Led Integration
There may come a time when traditional therapy no longer feels like enough. When talk therapy alone reaches a limit, and more profound healing is required, not just at the cognitive level, but within the nervous system, the body, and the spirit.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) offers a safe, medically-supported path for clients seeking meaningful change when other approaches haven’t reached the root.
What Is KAP?
KAP is a therapeutic modality that combines the use of ketamine (a legally prescribed, dissociative anesthetic) with guided psychotherapy. When used in a structured, intentional setting, ketamine can temporarily shift patterns of thought and allow for deeper exploration, healing, and insight.
This treatment is showing promising outcomes for individuals experiencing:
- Chronic depression
- PTSD and trauma-related symptoms
- Anxiety
- Existential distress
- Emotional numbness or stuckness
This is not a recreational experience or a shortcut to healing; it is a facilitated process grounded in clinical research and guided by compassionate, ethical care.

MY APPROACH
With over four decades of experience as a nurse practitioner and therapist, I bring a trauma-informed, medically conscious, and deeply respectful approach to this work. My training through Resilience Behavioral Health Solutions and the Transpersonal Research Institute of Psychotherapeutic Psychedelics, combined with my prior experience in ketamine-supported therapy, reflects my commitment to ongoing education and adherence to best practices in this evolving field.
This is a collaborative journey. While ketamine may facilitate openings and insights, the integration work that occurs before and after sessions is where transformation takes root.
What to Expect
The KAP process includes three core phases:
1. Assessment & Intake
You’ll begin by filling out a detailed intake form that explores your mental health history, goals for therapy, and current support systems. Not everyone is a suitable candidate for KAP, and this is an essential consideration in ensuring your safety and readiness. If your form aligns with my therapeutic approach, I’ll personally reach out to schedule a consultation.
Please note that no direct contact information is listed on this page. All inquiries begin with the completion of the intake form.
2. Preparation Sessions
Before any medicine is administered, we’ll engage in 1–2 sessions to establish a foundation of trust, discuss the treatment plan, and explore your intentions. We’ll also go over the medical and psychological safety protocols involved.
3. Ketamine Sessions + Integration
KAP sessions occur in a safe and supportive setting with medical oversight. These sessions are guided and held with deep care. The altered state created by ketamine often allows clients to access emotions, memories, or insights that are typically difficult to reach.
After each session, we’ll meet again to support you in processing and integrating what surfaced. This integration phase is essential to weaving the insights from the experience into your day-to-day life in meaningful ways.
Timeline & Commitment
Every person’s process is different. Some individuals may benefit from just a few sessions, while others may engage with KAP as part of a broader, longer-term therapeutic journey. You and I will regularly revisit your progress to assess next steps, always prioritizing your well-being and goals.
Is KAP Right for You?
KAP is not a suitable fit for everyone. If you’re seeking a quick fix, this isn’t it. But if you’re ready to do deep, intentional work with clinical support and soul-centered guidance, this may be the next chapter of your healing.
For Other Practitioners
In addition to providing Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) directly to clients, I also collaborate with other qualified mental health practitioners who wish to incorporate ketamine into their therapeutic work but are not authorized to prescribe it themselves.
I offer prescription and medical oversight services for licensed therapists, counsellors, and healing practitioners who meet the clinical and ethical criteria for this work. Each case is reviewed individually to ensure safety, suitability, and alignment with best practices in ketamine-supported care.
If you are a practitioner interested in partnering for ketamine prescription support, please reach out to begin the conversation.
