I entered this experience with a great deal of trepidation. For one thing I am an 82-year-old retired businessman and card-carrying introvert. The idea of being thrown together with eight strangers for twenty-four hours in a small living room for a psychedelic extravaganza was akin to being stuck in a suffocating elevator for an entire day with crazed Amway salespeople. But I did it, anyway. Why? Several reasons. I had met some of the participants a few weeks earlier and they seemed like my tribe: seekers, smart, open, a little woo-woo but not too woo-woo and incredibly nice . Also I had met the facilitator Rachelle in an integration group. I sensed she was trustworthy. I took the plunge into the raw, nowhere-to-hide, deep dive exploration of the sweet surrender that hides behind our social masks. At first it was scary, and then it quickly became… Delightful? Easy and comfortable? Nurturing and healing? A very special kind of love? On each and every step on this journey, Rachelle was our impeccable guide, co-pilot, mother ship and consummate professional. She is a treasure.
